48 pages of unbound tabloid size newsprint. 28 photographs made in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas at the end of 2024 while visiting family alongside some written reflections about beauty, hope, perfection, and photography.

“For the past couple of years, I’ve been carrying this thought with me about the parallels between photographs and hymns. Photographs as celebrations of our world in some particular arrangement and instance. Affirmations of beauty, compositions of gratitude. In this light, a sequence of photos may be weaved together as a song of praise, not unlike a hymnal.

Notes on Hope will be, I hope, an outlet for me to attempt to archive and bring form to this feeling.”
